What Rabbot answers inside Sidekick

Rabbot answers questions in Shopify Sidekick from its own scheduled checks. It reads your store's results and changes nothing.

What the integration is

Sidekick is the assistant built into your Shopify admin. Rabbot adds six tools that Sidekick can call when you ask about the state of your store. You ask in plain words, in the conversation you are already in, and the answer comes back there.

You do not need a token or a config file. Install Rabbot, open Sidekick, and approve the short consent card the first time Sidekick asks Rabbot in a conversation. If Sidekick answers from somewhere else, start the question with “Using Rabbot,” or turn Rabbot on from the composer’s Apps picker. How to ask Sidekick about your store walks through the first question.

Rabbot reads, and changes nothing

The six tools are read-only. Rabbot cannot edit a product, a theme, a redirect, or a setting through Sidekick, and nothing you ask can make it try.

Fixes stay with you. You apply one yourself, or Sidekick applies it with your own permissions, and Rabbot confirms it on its next check of that page. Answers that explain a fix deep-link into the Rabbot app inside your admin, so the screen you need opens directly.

Where the answers come from

Every answer describes Rabbot’s last completed check. Rabbot runs its own schedule against your pages and your feed, and Sidekick reads what that schedule has already recorded. Nothing is crawled while you wait.

This is the same data your dashboard shows, the same data your alerts are raised from, and the same data the MCP server serves to an AI agent (see What Rabbot’s MCP server is). All three read the same record.

If you fixed something an hour ago, Sidekick will still describe the state at the last check until the next one runs. Every answer says what it covered, so you can see how much of your store the result speaks for.

What your plan checks

Answers reflect what your plan actually checks, and they say so. The free plan watches 20 pages a week, plus the homepage heartbeat that runs on every plan. It is free forever, no card required. The feed cross-check runs once on install day on the free plan and daily on a paid plan. Channel verdicts are optional on every plan, and they are never sent to Sidekick on any of them.

Nothing inside Sidekick compares plans or suggests you change yours. It reports what was checked and what was not, and leaves the rest to you.

What answers leave out

Rabbot answers about your pages, your feed, and the problems it has caught. It holds no order or customer data, and a Sidekick answer never carries a sales figure. If you switch the revenue line on, the daily totals Rabbot reads show in the Rabbot app only. What an answer never contains has the full list, and explains why an empty answer is not the same as a clean store.
