What an answer never contains
The data Rabbot never sends to Sidekick, why an empty list is not an all clear, and who holds what Sidekick receives.
The never list
Some things are not in a Rabbot answer, whatever you ask and however you ask it:
- What Google, Meta, or TikTok (Beta) reported about your products. Channel verdicts stay in the app. They are never sent to Sidekick, on any plan.
- Any order or customer data, and any sales figure. Rabbot holds no order or customer rows. If you switch the revenue line on, the daily totals it reads show in the Rabbot app only, never in a Sidekick answer.
- Your tokens, or anything else that would let someone else in.
- The address your alert email goes to.
- Visitor counts, search rankings, and index status from any search engine.
- A health score. Rabbot reports what is open and what is covered, and does not roll your store up into a number.
If Sidekick offers you one of these, it came from somewhere other than Rabbot.
An empty list is not an all clear
An answer with nothing in it means Rabbot found nothing in what it checked. It does not mean your store is fine.
So every answer states its own bounds: how many pages are being checked against your plan’s cap, how often they are checked, which checks are running on your store and which are not, and the counts of open problems that sit outside whatever the question covered. Read those bounds before you read the result. “No problems on the 20 pages checked at least weekly” is a much narrower claim than “no problems”, and Rabbot makes the difference visible rather than hiding it.
Coverage bounds every negative answer in exactly the same way. Nothing Rabbot says rules out a problem on a page it has never looked at.
A page Rabbot could not reach
When a check cannot complete, Rabbot reports a monitoring gap, not a confirmed outage. A timeout, a blocked request, or a page that would not load for the checker are all reasons Rabbot cannot say what the state was.
Treat a gap as a question to settle, not as a verdict either way. Open the page yourself the way a shopper would. What the reachability states mean covers how Rabbot records these.
What goes to Sidekick, and who holds it
Rabbot sends Sidekick its check results only when Sidekick asks, while working on a question you put to it. Nothing is streamed, scheduled, or pushed across on its own.
What travels is the answer: the state, the open problems, the pages and checks covered, and the fix guidance. It is the same material your dashboard shows you.
Once an answer has reached Sidekick, Shopify holds it under Shopify’s own terms and privacy policy. Shopify is a separate controller of that copy, not Rabbot’s processor, which means Rabbot cannot reach into it or take it back. The erasure that follows about 48 hours after you uninstall Rabbot clears Rabbot’s own records and does not extend to what Sidekick already received. The full wording is section 12 of the Rabbot privacy policy for what reaches Sidekick and who holds it, section 11 of the same policy for the erasure, and section 7 of the Rabbot terms.
