Google Search Console
One Google connection covers Merchant Center and Search Console. On paid plans Rabbot reads Search Console's reports about your pages once a day.
What Search Console adds
Search Console is Google’s own report on your pages. Rabbot’s page checks read your storefront the way a crawler would, and Search Console adds what Google itself recorded about those pages, such as a page that dropped out of its index. Reading both side by side tells you whether a problem Rabbot sees on the page has reached Google yet.
One connection for both
The Google channel covers Google Merchant Center and Google Search Console under one connection, and it takes one channel slot. Open Settings, find the Google card, and choose Connect. The Google channel covers the Merchant Center side.
Matching your storefront
When you connect, Rabbot lists the Search Console properties verified on your Google account and matches one to your storefront. Rabbot reads the property it matched, so the reports are about the store it watches.
How often, and the lag
On paid plans Rabbot reads Search Console’s reports about your pages once a day. Google publishes that data roughly two days behind, so a Search Console finding describes your pages as Google saw them a couple of days earlier. That lag sits on Google’s side. Rabbot’s own page checks read your live storefront and do not carry it.
Search Console is read on paid plans only. On the free plan, Rabbot’s page checks and the one-time feed cross-check carry on as normal.
How a Search Console finding alerts you
A Search Console finding alerts you once and then stays quiet until it resolves. A report that repeats the same problem day after day does not raise a fresh alert each day. The finding stays on your dashboard while it is open, and the weekly digest covers it.
Nothing is written to Search Console
Rabbot reads Search Console and writes nothing to it. Your properties, their settings, and everything else in your Search Console account stay exactly as you left them.
