Uninstalling Rabbot and removing your data

What stops when you remove the app, and how long your store data stays with Rabbot afterwards.

What happens when you remove the app

Removing Rabbot from your Shopify admin stops all monitoring straight away: no further checks, no further feed cross-checks, and no further alerts go out, on any plan.

What “purged” means

Your store data held by Rabbot is purged after Shopify’s 48-hour redaction window. That window is Shopify’s own mechanism, the same one every Shopify app follows, not a delay Rabbot sets itself. It covers everything Rabbot held for your store: your monitored URL list, your issue history, including findings from a feed channel you had stopped watching, your dismissals, and your saved settings.

Removing the app is the only thing that purges that record. Switching channels, moving between plans, and dropping to Free all leave it in place.

If you plan to come back

Plan on starting over. Once the window closes, the record of your store is gone: the URL list, the history, the dismissals, the settings. A reinstall is a fresh install, with nothing carried over from the old one. If you only want a break from paying, moving to Free is the cleaner route: the app stays installed and nothing is purged.

If you only want to stop paying

Uninstalling is not the only way to stop paying for Rabbot. Moving to Free through Manage plan in Settings keeps the app installed at no cost, free forever, no card required, while dropping you to weekly checks and a 20-URL cap. Save uninstalling for when you want Rabbot off the store entirely, not just off the paid plan. See Upgrading and downgrading for how moving to Free works.
